Wow...took less than 4 days. I thought it would sell out, but I didn't really think it would be so soon. I hope we won't be seeing more of these "limited editions"!

I would guess nowhere near 7200 people actually ordered a set....more like a few thousand ordering multiple sets. There will probably be a lot of cancellations, or at least, lots of these for sale in September...

What is funny is that the reduced-packaging "no book or trunk" set will be the SAME PRICE. I wasn't expecting that...
It's also unclear (to me) just when the 'reduced' set will be available. (After all, we're just going on an act of faith that the original set will be ready in September.)

The store site said that box-set buyers would also be getting "exclusive goodies" over the next few months (without specifying what those were)...I wonder if those will still be limited to the first 7200.

I'm not at all surprised - a quick check at FB - the GD page has over 700,000 friends. 7200 would be 1% of this fan base, and I think many many more might be interested.

The cynical among us would posit that Rhino stands to make MUCH more profit on the overs - the first 7200, while still profitable, are loss-leaders for the bigger honeypot. I think they could easily sell 70,000 sets - 10% of that universe.
